MonoCase (former Me+You) is digital designer Emil Olssons platform for random play and experiments. This is my Rubiks Cube. On showcase here is a mix of projects I do professionaly and things I do just for fun. I've been working in the Internet industry for over 10 years and I'm currently working as Lead Designer at Bazooka Interactive. At Bazooka I work for large clients such as SonyEricsson, Freemantle, H&M, TV4, Tele2, Seat, Regeringskansliet but also smaller actors like the photographer Andreas Lind, the Latvian pop star Dj Ella and the hair studio Folk Stockholm to name some. I also take on small art projects and of course every project is treated with the same care and attention.

My strenght is that I have a wide competence ranging from development such as HTML, CSS, JQuery, Mootools and CMS such as Wordpress, Indexhibit, Indxr, Bazment to name some. When it comes to more design related applications I have full blown skills in all Adobe products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Flash (not hard core programming though) and After Effects. I also have a big passion for the excellent 3d application Maxon Cinema 4d.

In addition to that I have a international network and are commited and engaged in the interactive design community world wide. This gives me the opportunity to exchange ideas and of course to develop my own skills.

Internet as a medium is a very special one. It's a craft that combines technology and design. You really need to know how the technology works to open new doors for design. The possibilities are huge, but the basic conditions are constantly changing. So too be a part of the frontier of the online experience, the main focus has to be in the future, to break boundries and move forward. The key is a thrive to be one step ahead and at the same time be all ears for new trends. It may sound contradictive, but that's my experience.

This is what makes me want to work in the Internet industry, to be a part of something not yet created and build something that no one knows how it will look like and feel like, in X years from now. Internet is changing in a rapid pace and actually changing how the world functions and also forms new cultures and affects peoples every day life. People from almost all parts of the world is connecting and the information sets free. I see Internet as THE way to unite the world and it really functions as a strong social glue. That fascinates me and that drives me.
